Pulp Mill Start UP Project Manager

A Quebec, Canada forest Products Company is developing a pulp mill and is looking for a full-time project manager to work at the site.  The project is only at 10% design, but they want help now setting up a procurement process and getting a contractor on-board in the next few months to help with pre-construction services.  The total project spend is $280 million.

Minimum requirements

• 5-10 years Project Management experience with start up of large pulp mill facilities.
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Experience with co-generation projects is a plus
• Strong communication and interfacing skills including executive level experience
• Strategic thinking and visioning skills

Other Considerations

• On-site presence is required
• The assignment duration is expected to be 24 months with possible extension
